Rivendell International, the specialist regulatory affairs consultancy, is delighted to announce the opening of our new office in the Netherlands. With this expansion, Rivendell now has offices in Spain, Slovenia, USA, and the Netherlands, as well as headquarters in Ireland.

The new office, Rivendell Benelux, will be based in Axel, The Netherlands, and will be managed by Mr. Marc Aerssens. Marc is a chemist who formerly worked with the ICL group for more than 20 years. He spent the last 8 years as Regulatory Manager, and chaired several task forces.

Within the Rivendell organisation, Rivendell Benelux will be responsible for national registrations in the region, as well as developing new business, particularly for REACH.

Marc will be available for consultation at the Rivendell stand during the Agchemforum Conference in Berlin later this month. He will also be part of the Rivendell delegation at the BCPC Conference in Glasgow in October, where he will be happy to meet with interested parties. Rivendell will be hosting REACH workshops & seminars in the Netherlands in the coming months. Please contact Marc directly to register interest.

Rivendell is also in the process of further expansion, and has plans to establish an office in Brussels in the coming months, to provide a strategic location for both client and EU Commission meetings.

Rivendell International launches new office

Irish-owned company Rivendell International has announced an additional expansion for the business with the launch of their fourth branch globally. Rivendell Consulting Slovenia will operate from Ljubljana, Slovenia and will cover Central and Eastern European regions for regulatory services.

Rivendell is primarily a consultancy company in the field of regulatory affairs for the chemical industry, assisting manufacturing companies worldwide to comply with national and international legislation in order to get and keep their products on the market. The company was founded in early 1999, and initially focused its attention on European agro-chemical and biocidal regulatory affairs. Rivendell deals with all relevant EU Directives and Regulations as well as Member-State Regulations, from its headquarters in Ireland and from the Spanish subsidiary, Rivendell España S.L. With the office in the USA, opened in 2004, Rivendell has been able to offer additional services for USA, Canada, all of Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. More than 20 regulatory professionals work at Rivendell in the European and USA offices, with experts in scientific fields such as chemistry, toxicology and environmental science. The company is independent of laboratories, preferring to contract out testing or field trials as appropriate, to give the best service to the clients. Instead the company specialises in regulatory strategies, advice on requirements and preparation of submissions to regulatory authorities. Rivendell additionally offers services relating to the pending REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of CHemicals) programme, which will consolidate over 40 pieces of legislation into one EU Directive for the registration of chemicals. Rivendell can assist with initial evaluation of the impact REACH will have for your business and the subsequent preparations to meet the legislative requirements.

With the launch of the new office in Slovenia, Rivendell are now offering additional services covering countries including Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Monte Negro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania.

Rivendell Slovenia will be headed by Bojana Zgonec, senior consultant with several years experience in the industry working as a Regulatory Manager for a major multinational company for a period of 4 years, and for a local Slovenian company for the following 3 years with the responsibility for all regulatory affairs. Through her work and constant interaction with the authorities in the region Bojana has built up close ties with the local regulatory authorities.
